My mother pushed me toward academics, securing a future built on scholarship, structure, and high-level logic. My father lived in the frequency of music. My father and my uncle were members of a local band. For years, I kept those worlds in separate files—even after quietly writing 16 songs in a single week just to prove to myself that the frequency of good music was alive in me.

Before I even hear the first beat drop, the calibration begins. It looks like I’m running for public office—shaking hands with everyone moving through the club lol. My mother once asked me, “What are you doing to those people?” I told her, “I have no idea!” Things were getting out of control, so I asked my niece, “What’s going on?” She said, “Sometimes you’re just chosen!”
But mathematically, I know exactly what is happening. It is a literally hand-to-hand energy exchange. Every single handshake sends a jolt of raw human voltage straight into my system. I am scanning the room, reading the frequencies, and charging my battery.
By the time I hit the dance floor, my energy is extremely high, and I fuse it with the rhythm of the music the DJ is playing.
If you’ve ever seen me out, you’ve noticed the signature: My right sleeve is rolled tightly all the way up to the shoulder, locked down to fix a tight ground. My left sleeve is completely unrolled, loose, and unbuttoned.
This isn’t a fashion statement. It is a functional energy circuit of music energy obtainment and release!
As an observer of systems, I understand that energy cannot be created or destroyed—it must be channeled. My right side is the music energy intake. With the sleeve locked down at the shoulder, that bare arm acts as a powerful magnetic energy conduit, drawing in the raw, heavy frequency of the music and the collective voltage of every hand I just shook. That high-voltage current travels straight through the core of my body giving me an electrical charge.
But a closed system under that much pressure blows a fuse.
So, my left sleeve stays unrolled and completely unbuttoned at the cuff. It acts as the exhaust valve—a loose, fluid music energy conduit designed to vent that pressurized musical energy back out into the club atmosphere.
I don’t dance to escape logic. I dance because my brain needs a break from thinking about complex systems and solutions. I also dance because the rhythm of the music is the ultimate geometry of mental escape. Welcome to the lighter side of the system! Welcome to Music Energy!
